Grand Hotel Stockholm guides guests with Smartsign

Sweden’s most exclusive hotel uses Smartsign to guide its guests right through the enormous building, which houses over 300 rooms, suites, conference and banqueting rooms, cocktail bars, restaurants and a spa department.

With thousands of guests from all over the world annually, it is important for Grand Hotel Stockholm to clearly guide guests in the right direction in the smoothest possible way. With digital signs, they easily communicate information according to different guests, events and situations.

Grand Hotel Stockholm’s challenge was to create clear directions and smooth flows of visitors who easily find their way. Digital signs with software from Smartsign have now been in place for several years and the screens are installed in strategic locations in the building where they act as waypoints and hubs for visitors.

The content is managed both centrally and locally

The content on the screens is mostly managed by the marketing department, and every morning the conference service is responsible for ensuring that today’s guests, events and meetings are displayed on the correct screens. But thanks to the simple system, staff who do not usually work administratively can update and make changes when necessary without having to contact technical experts in IT or marketing.

The screens are divided into different areas where selected areas are used to sell from the product and service range. At the spa department and the restaurant’s screens, each department is responsible for its own content. There are also digital screens at the lifts where advertising from the business’s departments is shown in the form of short films, images and texts.
