December 2020 update

2020 is coming to an end and we are looking forward to a new year, but first we are releasing this years last update of the Smartsign cloud service. With the June release of Smartsign we moved from two major versions every year, to continuously releasing smaller updates. Not every month, but almost. Following the 10.8 update in April, we have released updates in June, August, October, November and now in December. Have a look and make sure you haven’t missed something interesting!

The December 2020 update of Smartsign cloud service includes features requested by Smartsign users and administrators.  Screen data is now avalible in the report tool, so besides media and userdata, you can get your screen data exported as a well structured Excel document. The Smartsign licensing portal is also updated, with a comment field make it a bit easier to keep track of allocation of licenses.

Finally in this update, a feature for the advanced users: Triggers is a central part in building touch screens and other interactive Smartsign solutions. The new Inactivity trigger makes it possible to show and hide layers or trigger other events after a period of inactivity. The inactivity trigger is only available for the Android player for now, but support for more players is planned.
